Tab Creations is excited to announce the launch our our latest project right here on Kickstarter, Heights of Power: A Revolution in the Age of Ambition RPG.
The project consists of three parts: Heights of Power, Game Master's Toolkit and Melanoc Adventures are three short supplements for the Age of Ambition roleplaying game. They feature powerful new traits, arcane fighting styles, alternative rules, new hazards and seven one-shot scenarios.
This Kickstarter will be here for three weeks only. We will send out PDF rewards immediately after the Kickstarter ends so there will be no waiting for your digital rewards!

Over the last few days, the physical What Lies Beneath rewards were ordered. They should begin shipping to backers in the next couple weeks.
If you live in the United States and don't have your rewards in hand by April 23rd, please contact us and we'll make sure you get them. International orders may take a few weeks more than that, depending on your local postal service.

As we look to the future and consider the possibility of new editions of our games, we want to streamline and unify our mechanics in a way that supports our fans' preferences and makes it easy to go from one game line to another.

The Future of Age of Ambition
If you enjoy our games and would like to see more of them in the future, one of the best things you can do is to say nice things about them in public. Talk to your friends. Mention us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Reddit or any of the many RPG discussion forums. As a small independent gaming company, one of the hardest challenges is simply getting the word out.
Of course, if it moves you, we also have a Patreon where every three months we release an adventure or other supplement. The next is scheduled for release in late April.

Special Update: Final PDF Rewards

Hello What Lies Beneath backers!
Moments ago we sent out the last of the PDF rewards! These include Body Problems, the third unlocked one-sheet scenario, as well as the finalized What Lies Beneath campaign and sourcebook.
Today you should receive two emails from DriveThruRPG, each containing a download code. If you haven’t received your codes by tomorrow morning, feel free to contact us and we’ll make sure you get them. This also might be a good opportunity to make sure that you have all of your PDF rewards.
Meanwhile, since the files are complete, we've already ordered a printing proof of What Lies Beneath. We expect it to arrive in the next couple weeks. Once we've had a chance to look it over, assuming everything looks good, we can begin placing orders for the print rewards.

February Update: More PDFs! More Adventure!

Hello What Lies Beneath backers!
Today we are going to send out the PDFs for most of the unlocked extras. This includes the poster map, player's brief and two of the three one-sheet scenarios.
You should receive several emails from DriveThruRPG later today, each containing a code to download one of the extras. If you haven’t received your codes by tomorrow morning, feel free to contact us and we’ll make sure you get them.
The Forslin Job for Age of Ambition is currently live on Kickstarter! It is a 32-page scenario wherein the party must confront xenophobic agitators and thwart a conspiracy to foment discord across the kingdom. We would appreciate it if you consider backing it.
As this is one of our "quickstarter" campaigns, you'll get the PDF as soon as the funding period ends and the print copy will be sent out two weeks later.
Status Update
At this point, the final What Lies Beneath PDF is only waiting on one last piece of art. In the meantime, we're making one more proofing pass. We'll send out the finalized PDF and order a printing proof as soon as we have the last piece of artwork in hand.
Meanwhile, writing has begun on the third and final one-sheet scenario. We plan to send it out to backers at the same time we release the final campaign PDF.
What Lies Beneath PDF Released to Backers

Hello, loyal friends and fans! A few minutes ago we released the initial What Lies Beneath PDF to backers.
You should receive an email from BackerKit containing a link to download the book. If you haven't received your link by Monday morning, please message us and we will make sure to resolve the issue.
What do you mean "initial" PDF?
More eyes are always better than just a few!
As part of our publication process, when we release a new game or major supplement we create an initial PDF which we send out to backers. We then collect reports of typos or other errors and release a final, corrected PDF a few weeks later. It is this corrected PDF that we send to the printers.
Note that the initial PDF has several placeholder pieces of art on pages 6, 10, 70, 75, 144 and 196. In the corrected PDF these will be replaced with the final artwork. (We could have waited to release the PDF until after these were finished, but we instead chose to get the book into your hands sooner.) The corrected PDF will also have the front and back covers added to the document.
If you find a typo or other error in the PDF, please let us know using the contact page on our website. We will be collecting error reports and making fixes until mid-February.
The campaign will be released to the general public and sent out to backers through DriveThruRPG once the corrected PDF is ready.
Progress Report
- Our layout pass of What Lies Beneath is done. Page references have been added. The table of contents and index have been generated. All that's left is to wait for the few remaining pieces of art to come in, and to fix any typos that backers find in the initial PDF.
- The art for the poster map is complete. It will soon be readied for printing, and a printing proof will thereafter be ordered.
- Writing has resumed on the unlocked One-Sheet Scenarios.
